June 2008 Meeting

The meeting was held Progressive Managements Office and a few residents showed up. It seems that there is not a lot of interest on residents behalf to participate or at least see what happens at the meetings. Thanks to those that did show up and the minutes for the May meeting are now on the site and can be viewed or downloaded here.

There were quite a few topics covered and some serious decisions made. The details will be in the minutes released next month. One thing that struck me was the dollar amount of the past due fees. The amount is in excess of 10K and it seems some residents are past due for over a year. The past due fees can hold up needed improvements and repairs and it important that they get paid. Also, if you are seriously past due, Florida has some serious legal stuff that can happen. This can even include foreclosure, so it makes sense to pay your fees when they are due. Or you can wait until the lawyers get involved and then pay them and your fees. A good majority of residents pay the fees on time but it is too bad that the rest cannot.

On the brighter side you will see some renovations to the Tennis court in the near future and some of the overgrown trees trimmed. From what I gather there is more that can be done, but cash is king, and fees need to be paid.
